VOLUNTEER

VOLUNTEER

We hear it all the time: Volunteering as a STAIR-Annapolis tutor is a fun, fulfilling way to give back and make a real, meaningful difference in the life of a young learner. There's nothing quite like seeing a child's face light up when she finally masters a difficult word or when he reads a favorite story independently for the very first time.

STAIR volunteers come from all walks of life, giving their valuable time and talents to help second graders improve their reading skills. Our tutors are dedicated, caring individuals who commit a few hours each week to work one-on-one with a student in need of reading support at any of our 12 STAIR-Annapolis tutoring locations.

If you're interested in becoming a STAIR volunteer tutor or site coordinator,
please browse our list of open positions and complete a
New Volunteer Application.

Our training sessions have closed for this year, but 2020-2021 planning is in the early stages and
we'll gladly save your application and be in touch when training resumes.

We are overwhelmed by the outpouring of interest in our program! Thank you!
