Requirements

We are always ready to welcome energetic, enthusiastic new tutors and substitutes
to our volunteer roster, no experience necessary!

In order to volunteer with STAIR, prospective tutors must:

• Be available to volunteer immediately after school at least one day per week. See our site directory for specific days and hours of operation at each STAIR-Annapolis location.
• Complete a STAIR-Annapolis volunteer application.
• Pass a background check with Anne Arundel County Public Schools.
• Attend mandatory new tutor orientation, which consists of a two-hour classroom training and a shadowing session with an experienced STAIR tutor.
